"Grace in her voice. Truth in her hands."
There’s a story behind every sword.
Some are forged in fire.
Some are handed down.
Mine was shaped in the wilderness, wept over in worship, and strengthened by the Word of God.
My name is Pastor Joy—a woman who has known both the breaking and the building, the crushing and the calling. I’m here to speak what God says, teach what He reveals, and encourage others to walk boldly in their mantle—whether they're whispering prayers in secret or preaching in pulpits.
This blog was born out of years of being refined by fire. I’ve lived through battles that tried to strip my identity, but instead God used them to crown me with purpose. That’s why one of the themes you’ll see woven throughout this space is “Crowned in Fire.” It’s more than a phrase—it’s the prophetic truth that your trials do not disqualify you—they anoint you.
What You’ll Find Here:
🔥 Prophetic insight that cuts through noise and speaks to the soul
📖 Biblical teaching that goes deeper than the surface
💎 Real talk about leadership, identity, healing, and calling
👑 Encouragement for women in ministry who don’t fit the mold—but know they’re mantled
Why "Velvet & Steel"?
Because God taught me how to be both.
To lead with tenderness, but never shrink from truth.
To speak with wisdom and love, but never compromise clarity.
To walk in feminine grace and spiritual authority at the same time.
And if you’re here, I believe you might carry that same mantle.
My Heart for You:
My prayer is that every word written here would feel like oil to the weary and fire to the called. That it would comfort some and challenge others. That it would stir your spirit—not with hype—but with holy hunger.
So whether you’re a ministry leader, a worshipper, a prayer warrior, or someone who feels a fire stirring but doesn’t yet know the shape of your calling—there’s space for you here.
Let’s grow. Let’s go deeper. Let’s sharpen the sword and soften the heart.
Because this isn’t just a blog. It’s a voice.
And I pray it speaks to you.
